Park Maintenance

Council’s aim is to provide an enriching experience for users of Parks and Reserves, by ensuring they are safe, accessible, well maintained, and offering a range of services and infrastructure.

Council utilises a combination of internal day labour and contractors to maintain its network of Parks, Reserves and Infrastructure.  Some of the roles and responsibilities include, mowing and brush-cutting, irrigation design, installation, repair and maintenance, the planting, pruning and removal of trees and shrubs, playground installation and maintenance, turf management of sporting areas, the application of fertilizers and pesticides, and urban bushland revegetation and maintenance.

The support and help of the public in maintaining these areas is much appreciated, especially by removing all introduced litter.
