International Women's Day
International Women's Day is an annual global event recognising the achievements of women from all walks of life while calling for greater equality. An international program of diverse activities are held all over the world in celebration of this event.
City of Darwin is proud to have taken part in this event for eight years in a row. In 2017 we will partner with Northern Territory Government, United Nations of Australia NT Division, Traffic Works NT and the Multicultural Council of the Northern Territory to bring you the biggest event yet!
2017 IWD Walk and Function
The 2017 International Women's March will take place on Saturday 11 March. Please meet at the steps of Parliament at 9am to participate in the march. From 10am, celebrations will take place in Parliament House. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided, as well as a children's corner for the young ones!
Don't forget to wear purple!
