Air Quality Monitoring
Charles Darwin University operates and maintains a Partisol Dichotomous sampler at the Casuarina Campus of the University. The Program is a partnership between the Northern Territory Government and Charles Darwin University and City of Darwin
The samplers measure particulate mater in the atmosphere over Darwin. The data obtained from the sampling program is used to provide information on the management of bushfires, urban/ industrial development, national reporting and health effects.
Benefits of the program include.
- Data relating to the management of health related issues resulting from air borne particulate matter.
- Baseline data used to assist with the assessment of new developments.
- The provision of data to inform the ongoing management of industry and bushfires.
